The Meiho region in the mountains of Gifu, a couple of hours from Nagoya by bus, is a great place to experience local traditions up close. We spent two days learning about the people and life of the area, and one particular highlight was daikon farming. These photos show you a little bit about how the daikon gets from the earth to the plate.
