Watercolors of Hokkaido 2020

Exploring watercolor art from the Meiji era until now

Local: Hokkaido Asahikawa Museum of Art Data: Sep 9th - Nov 1st 2020

"Watercolors of Hokkaido" is a special exhibition taking place at the Hokkaido Asahikawa Museum of Art. The event looks into artworks using this medium - which is often loved because of its ease of use - from the Meiji era up until the present day.

The exhibition will also delve into the history of Hokkaido and how that has evolved through art, with a specific focus placed on the works of Susumu Sato, a watercolor painter who hails from Asahikawa itself.

Adult admission to the event is 800 yen.
