Phrase of the day: Marlowe Custard Pudding. Located in the beautiful town of Hayama, the bright-yellow cafe with an "I Love Pudding" sign suddenly grabbed my attention as I was driving east on Route 134. Having come from a Filipino heritage, I grew up on enjoying leche flan which is similar in style, but Marlowe's is far better in taste. Not only does Marlowe​ make the best custard pudding and offer a plethora of flavors, they also make pound cake & jam. I decided to try the "Hayama Bolo," a cake shaped like the Hayama sunset at Fuji-san.
