The Tokyo Imperial Palace is the residence of the Emperor of Japan. The grounds have many buildings including the Imperial family residence, a museum, offices, and an archive. You cannot get to close to the actual Palace but can snap some photos from a distance. Nevertheless, the grounds are beautiful and you can see the foundation from the original palace. If you go in summer you can rent bicycles for free and ride around.
