The fireworks are set off in the city bay, against the mountains.
The bay is full of people who reserve themselves a spot in the ground from early in the morning.
I arrived three hours before the show started, but it was already too late to get a good spot.
Food and drink stalls are located everywhere in the area.
The festival takes place the fourth Saturday of July.
Fireworks are a symbol of Japanese summer.
