Latest on Nezu Museum

At Tokyo's Nezu Museum from September 19th until November 3rd, a special exhibition is taking place titled "Adventures in Monochrome: Early modern Japanese ink-wash and brush-line paintings". The event looks at these unique forms of ink paintings, particularly at the differences between the two. Ink-wash paintings tend to incorporate gradations, blurring, and modulated lines, whereas brush-line paintings have more of a focus on thin, uniform strokes.

Some of the works on display include Nagasawa Rosetsu's "Red Cliff", which dates back to the 18th Century, and "The Tale of Genji" by Sumiyoshi Gukei.

Adult admission to the exhibition is 1100 yen, with student admission slightly less at 900 yen. Do note that the museum is closed on Mondays if you're planning to visit.

Como chegar

Nezu Museum can be accessed in five minutes on foot from Omotesando Station, served by the Ginza, Chiyoda, and Hanzomon Tokyo Metro Subway Lines. The closest exit is A5.
