Gamers and culture enthusiasts alike can step into the world of one of Japan's most iconic game developers at The Great Capcom Exhibition – Game Creations that Captivate the World, on display at CREATIVE MUSEUM TOKYO (Kyobashi) until Sunday, February 22nd, 2026. Spanning Capcom's 40-year history, the exhibition celebrates the company's influential titles and innovations while reexamining Japan’s globally renowned gaming culture.
The exhibition is divided into immersive sections. Capcom Game Chronicle features a character parade with familiar faces from Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and Monster Hunter, alongside original artwork, game consoles, and design materials from past titles. Visitors can experience Capcom Pixel Lab, creating pixel art on tablets and downloading their custom characters, or try the Facial Tracking Mirror, which mirrors visitors' expressions onto their favorite characters.
Interactive installations allow guests to explore the creative process behind sound effects, motion capture, and projection-mapped 3D models, including Chun-Li, immersive Resident Evil walkthroughs, and the Monster Hunter Super 3D Picture Book.
The journey concludes with rare early game proposals and sketches, providing a peek at Capcom's creative foundations. An optional audio guide, narrated by voice actor Toshiyuki Morikawa, adds insider stories from the making of legendary titles.
After Tokyo, the exhibition will travel to the Niigata Prefectural Bandaijima Museum of Art from March 14th to June 21st, 2026.
